Lesson 27 · The Story of Your Venture
The last session formally dedicated to prototype work — finalise it and get it ready to present to customers. Then craft a concise 3-sentence High Concept Pitch that clearly explains what you do.
Lesson Overview
Purpose of this lesson
Firstly, this session is the last one where time is formally set aside for working on the prototypes. This is the main focus. Additionally, in this session every project team will craft a short blurb to describe their business.

Presenting the story — lesson 27 of 32
Activities
От предишния урок — Check-in (60 мин)From the previous lesson — Check-in (60 min)
Every lesson from now on should start with a check-in about the progress of the teams. About 60 minutes should be spent on that.
This session should be dedicated to the mentor working with the teams to fully develop the prototype so it is ready to be presented to the customers. Only one short activity is included at the end.
To better communicate, have an easier time writing emails and be able to explain what you do in a couple of sentences, create a 3-sentence high concept pitch of what you do. This will be particularly useful when you will be trying to get people to buy or when you will approach partners and funders.
Пример: High Concept Pitch на Ustvarjalnik/uSchool:
Example: Ustvarjalnik/uSchool's High Concept Pitch:
Ustvarjalnik runs a network of after-school entrepreneurship clubs in high schools where students learn how to earn a living by doing what they love.
Ustvarjalnik: "Use your skills to pay your bills."
Note: this is not a tagline (a marketing statement). The purpose of the high-concept pitch is to explain concisely what you do. Compare to Ustvarjalnik's tagline: "Use your skills to pay your bills." (used jokingly within their community).
Note also that the pitch can easily be expanded by adding 3 bullet points describing the specific ways you achieve your goal.
The mentor should work with the participants to create these statements because they will be useful in the next sessions. No matter if the statements are already done or if the team has not been able to put them on paper, the mentor should invite the participants to think them over until next week when they will be needed.

Agent Context
This is the last session formally dedicated to prototype work. Teams must have the prototype ready for customer presentation by the end of this session. The secondary deliverable is a 3-sentence High Concept Pitch — a concise factual description of what the venture does (not a tagline). The pitch will be required in lesson 28 (1-pager) and beyond. This is also the last chance for teams to change their venture name before the 1-pager is drafted.
- High Concept Pitch — 3-sentence factual description of what the venture does; not a tagline or marketing slogan
- Pitch vs Tagline distinction — pitch = explains clearly; tagline = catchy marketing statement (e.g. "Use your skills to pay your bills")
- Expandable pitch — the core pitch can be extended with 3 bullet points describing the specific methods used to achieve the goal
- Check-in protocol (5 points) — (1) what was done since last time, (2) celebrate achievements, (3) what next + discuss, (4) how can mentor help, (5) compare to strategic plan
- Prototype readiness — prototype must be presentable to real customers by end of this session
- Name change deadline — lesson 27 is the last opportunity before the 1-pager is finalised
- Check-in (~60 min) — structured progress review using the 5-point mentor protocol
- Step 1 — Prototype work (main block) — mentor works with teams to fully develop prototype for customer presentation
- Step 2 — High Concept Pitch (short activity) — teams draft 3-sentence pitch; write on whiteboard; discuss and refine
- Step 3 — Wrap-up — invite teams to further refine the pitch before next week
- Team progress check-in conducted (~60 min) — all 5 mentor focus points covered
- Prototype fully developed and ready for customer presentation
- Every team has a 3-sentence High Concept Pitch written and discussed
- Teams invited to refine pitch before next session
- Verified whether any team wants to change their venture name
- This is the last opportunity to change the venture name — flag it explicitly
- The pitch can be tied directly into teams' immediate needs (upcoming partner meetings, customer outreach, email writing)
- Creating the pitch also benefits internal team clarity — once the "official story" is set, decisions become easier
